The Importance of Brand

According to the American Marketing Association, a brand is a “name, term, sign, symbol  or design, or a combination of them intended to identify the goods and services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiate them from those of other sellers.”      Your brand is your identity.    Who you are and what you do allows you to distinguish yourself from your competition, and establish a relationship between your distinctive competencies and your customers’ needs.

In today’s competitive environment and sound-bite limited attention spans,  your brand must be able to quickly build a connection on an emotional level with your customers while communicating your credibility.  Without a strong brand, your business is easily foregettable,  and with no emotional connection, there is no motivation for the buyer.

Strong brands inspire.  Emotions impact choice and behavior.   A superior brand experience drives customer loyalty and even can generate incremental business through word of mouth.

Such an important component of your business should not be taken lightly.   Your relationships with your customers is the key to your success and the focus you place on the quality of your brand will reap great rewards.  Good luck!
